About The Aesthetics Lab
The Aesthetics Lab is a nurse-led clinic focused on delivering safe, considered and personalised aesthetic treatments.
Care is centred around a full consultation process, ensuring that every treatment is appropriate for your individual skin, concerns and overall goals. The focus is always on supporting long-term skin health and achieving natural, balanced results.
Patients are welcomed into a calm, clinical environment designed to feel both professional and comfortable, where time is taken to understand your concerns and provide honest, informed guidance.
Meet Nurse Rachel
I’m Nurse Rachel, founder of The Aesthetics Lab and an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, NHS Matron and qualified Nurse Prescriber based in Wigan.
My background is in hands-on nursing, working closely with patients with complex, long-term conditions. A big part of my role has involved wound care and supporting skin healing, which has given me a real understanding of how the skin functions and responds over time.
I’ve always had an interest in aesthetics, and alongside my NHS role, it gives me the opportunity to keep those clinical skills at the centre of what I do, while supporting people in a different way. It’s a different side of nursing, one that focuses on confidence and helping people feel more like themselves again.
My approach is always consultation-led. I take the time to assess what’s right for you, and I’ll always be honest, even if that means advising against treatment. For me, it’s about doing what’s appropriate, not what’s expected.
Outside of the clinic, life is busy with my husband, our two children and our spaniel, Maisy. I enjoy getting out for walks, spending time together as a family and finding the balance between work and home life.
Meet Practioner Fin
Fin supports the day-to-day running of The Aesthetics Lab and provides a range of skin-focused treatments within the clinic.
She runs her own nail business alongside her work at the clinic and has always had an interest in beauty and skin. Fin and Rachel first met when Rachel was a client, and the relationship quickly grew into a friendship, which naturally led to the opportunity to work together.
Fin specialises in skin treatments and is focused on helping clients feel comfortable, relaxed and confident throughout their experience at the clinic. She continues to develop her skills and will be expanding her treatment offering over time.
Outside of the clinic, Fin is a mum to her little girl and also a dog mum. She enjoys spending time with family, switching off with a good series and making the most of time outside of work.
